Sterile Dulbecco ’ s Modified Eagle Medium is the most commonly used modification of the Basal Medium acc. to Eagle. DMEM contains higher concentration of amino acids and vitamins, and additionally iron (ferric nitrate). The basic composition of ROTI ® Cell DMEM media corresponds to the original formulation according to Dulbecco. The formulation with high glucose content is well suited for culturing of a wide range of mammalian cell lines and primary cells. Generally, FBS is added to DMEM basal media.
