Material: DURAN ® glass, borosilicate glass 3.3. Autoclavable: yes. Flat flange round bottom flask with groove in the flat flange. Flat flange round bottom flasks are large-volume reaction vials that can be used as an alternative to standard round bottom flasks. The wide neck opening allows easy access to the flask contents. The flat flange round bottom flask is closed with a separately available lid. Both parts are held together by a clamping ring. A sealing ring or the use of grinding grease prevents the grinding surfaces from jamming. Suitable silicone and FEP sealing rings are available separately. The flat flange vessel can be combined with other components (e.g. coolers, stirrer shafts and dropping funnels) by means of various standard ground joints in the lid. Areas of application: preparatory work, such as general reactions, distillation, evaporation and drying, in which solid or viscous substances are produced. The thick-walled construction and geometry make these vessels suitable for safe working under pressure and vacuum. Excellent chemical resistance High temperature resistance Pressure- and vacuum-resistant due to the geometry and the solid wall thickness Use up to the maximum technically possible vacuum (follow the safety instructions) Flat flange with groove: a sealing ring can be inserted into the groove to close the vessel tightly Note: at a maximum operating temperature of +250 °C and the respective permissible operating pressure, the temperature difference in the glass wall of the flat flange beaker must not exceed 30 °C.
