The gels heat up during running to a lesser extent than when using the running buffer TBE. DNA migrates in TAE gel about twice as fast as in TBE buffered gels. For the run of gels for gel extraction of DNA, we recommend using ROTIPHORESE ® 10x TAE-Puffer light.
