SPE polypropylene columns ROTI ® X Bond PRS Silica gel modified with propylsulfonic acid, very strong cation exchanger (SCX). High recovery rates for pyridinic compounds. Simple retention mechanism, no nonpolar interactions Contrary to the SCX phase no π-π interactions. PRS has a unique selectivity as there are no non-polar interactions. It is an alternative to SCX when non-polar components in the samples cannot be removed with the latter.
