Sterile Alpha-Eagle’s Minimum Essential Medium is based on EMEM, containing the following unique components: Vitamin B 12 , ascorbic acid, non-essential amino acids, sodium pyruvate, lipoic acid, and D-biotin. MEM-Alpha media can be used with a variety of suspension and adherent mammalian cells, including keratinocytes, primary rat astrocytes, and human melanoma cells. Generally, FBS is added to MEM-Alpha media. ROTI ® Cell Eagle’s MEM-Alpha CELLPURE ® ready-to-use, sterile, w/o glutamine, with pyruvate, with nucleosides This modification of DMEM contains nucleosides, pyruvate and Earle's salts but no glutamine.
