Molybdenum trioxide has the appearance of a white odorless powder.
Not very soluble in cold water, but more soluble in hot water.
Molybdenum trioxide is frequently found in nature but always in the form of molybdite. Molybdenum trioxide is used as a catalyst for desulphurisation reactions and as raw material for production of pigments in the ceramic industry and for the production of frits.
