Proteose Peptone for microbiology Highly nutritious source for the growth of a wide range of fastidious microorganisms or when bacteria have to be well fed. Best suited for the production of vaccines, antibiotics, and other substances like enzymes, ideal for starter cultures and well usable for bacterial stocks. Proteose peptone has been used for, e.g., the production of Diphteria toxin, Pneumococcus toxin and the toxins from Clostridium botulinum and Cl. perfringens , as well as for culture of Neisseria, Haemophilus, Salmonella, Corynebacterium and Staphylococcus .
