Tin metal is not soluble in water.
The main use of tin metal anodes is tinning in the electronic, automotive, electric, connectors and food industries. It's used in electrolytic immersion treatment to obtain tin-plated objects, the most common is reel-to-reel tin plating. The surface treatment with tin has many benefits such as solderability, corrosion resistance and conductivity. Tin metal is also used to produce alloys in copper-based alloys, manufacturing of solders and tin-based babbitts (bearing metal).
