The previous initial calibration procedure has been be replaced by a new procedure, the so-called conformity assessment procedure. Instead of the certificate of calibration, a declaration of conformity is now issued by the equipment manufacturer and checked by a conformity assessment agency (e.g. Office of Weights and Measures).
