Inhibitor Cocktail Bacteria for biochemistry Inhibitor cocktail for inhibition of standard proteases. Inhibits serine proteases, aminopeptidase B, leucine-aminopeptidases, metalloproteases, cysteine proteases, and aspartic proteases. Recommended as cocktail for protease inhibition in extracts from bacteria. Directions for use Dissolve the lyophilized inhibitors in 1 ml DMSO and the EDTA in 4 ml distilled water. Transfer the 1 ml inhibitor solution to the EDTA solution and mix carefully. The solution is cloudy. Recommended dilution approx. 1:40. Concentrations in stock-solution are: AEBSF: 20 mM Bestatin: 1.7 mM E-64: 200 μM EDTA: 85 mM Pepstatin A: 2 mM The kit contains One vial with the lyophilized inhibitors (green cap), one 4 ml vial with EDTA and one vial with 1 ml DMSO (colourless cap).
