Sterile Insect cell systems represent established expression platforms for the production of recombinant proteins and the development of vaccines. For the cultivation of these cell lines, specific culture media have been formulated to meet their physiological requirements and to ensure high productivity and reproducibility. ROTI ® Cell Insect-Sf Medium has been optimized in particular for the cultivation of Sf9, Sf21, and High Five™ cells. ROTI ® Cell Insect-Sf Medium CELLPURE ® sterile, protein-free, with glutamine, with Pluronic™ ROTI ® Cell Insect-Sf Medium is a ready-to-use, serum-free cell culture medium, free of animal components and proteins. It has been specifically developed and validated for the cultivation of Sf9, Sf21, and High Five™ cells, enabling high-density cultures with strong expression yields. Its serum- and protein-free formulation minimizes batch-to-batch variability and simplifies scale-up processes. The medium is thus optimized for reproducible production of recombinant proteins and virus-like particles (VLPs) using baculovirus expression vector systems (BEVS). Performance tests of ROTI ® Cell Insect-Sf Medium show a significantly higher viable cell density (VCD) and viability even after 8 days, compared to products from other suppliers.
