The product scope is metal surface treatment. Fluoboric acid 50% is used as an electrolyte in galvanic cell oxygen sensor systems. The solution of fluoboric acid is widely used because the product is able to dissolve lead (II) oxide from the anode in the form of lead tetrafluoroborate precisely because it leaves the rest of the system unchanged.
