Its unique structure with regularly spaced pores ensures good air permeability while minimizing evaporation, making it suitable for cultures in long-term tests. This pink culture plug, measuring 20 mm in length with an 11 mm lower diameter and a 15 mm upper diameter, can be washed and reused, and can even be dry sterilized up to 180 °C. Its low moisture evaporation further reduces the drying out of cultures.
