Produced for stability across temperature-sensitive applications, the Roti ® Prep Soil DNA is designed specifically for isolating microbial DNA from complex soil samples. This centrifugation-based extraction kit, available in 50 preparations, employs a version tailored for mini-prep procedures. During extraction, the soil sample undergoes mechanical disruption in a homogenizer, such as the PA66.1, using a ROTI ® SampleLyse tube. The typical yield from this process is less than 30 μg, with an elution volume ranging between 50-100 µl. The basic material for this kit is soil samples, and it is stored at temperatures between +15 to +25 °C. The typical purity, as measured by A260/A280 ratio, is 1.7-2.0.
