Packaged to preserve integrity during storage and transportation, the Roti ® Prep Plant DNA is an essential tool for molecular biology applications. This centrifugation-based extraction kit is specifically designed to isolate genomic DNA from diverse plant sources. The isolation process begins with homogenizing the plant material, either using a ROTI ® SampleLyse tube or a mortar and pestle, followed by treatment with one of the three lysis buffers included in the kit. The typical preparation time is approximately 35 minutes, yielding 1-25 μg of DNA with a purity range of 1.7-2.0 (A260/A280). The kit is stored at temperatures between +15 to +25 °C.
