ROTI ® GelStain Red Eco, 1 ml, 1 x 1 ml

Supplied in compliance with established chemical handling standards, the Roti ® Gelstain Red Eco serves as an alternative to traditional ethidium bromide for fluorescent staining of nucleic acids in agarose and polyacrylamide gels. This red-fluorescent dye exhibits high sensitivity, detecting as little as 0.1 ng/band, and is added to both the gel solution and the running buffer. It can be excited by UV light (max. 300 nm) or blue light (500 nm), emitting at 600 nm when bound to DNA. Store this dye in the dark at temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius, avoiding freezing and cooling. A short exposure to +4 degrees Celsius temperature is tolerable, although it may lead to precipitation that dissolves upon warming.
