With a typical preparation time of 2 hours and 12 preps including 30 minutes of lysis, it offers efficient DNA isolation. The kit is suitable for preparing less than 300 milligrams of human or animal tissue, less than 10^7 cultured cells, less than 1.5 grams of plant leaves, less than 30 milligrams of bacteria or yeast (ground under liquid nitrogen), less than 300 milligrams of bacteria or yeast (lysed enzymatically or by bead beating), and less than 2 milliliters of liquid sample.
