Waxes and sealing agent APIEZON ® W, 1000 g

Recognized in industrial and academic chemical settings alike, the APIEZON ® W wax offers exceptional performance in high-vacuum sealing applications due to its low vapor pressure and excellent gettering properties. With a density of 1,055 g/cm³ and a Melting Point between 80–90 °C, this wax demonstrates resistance to various acids, including hydrofluoric, nitric, and acetic acids. Its steam pressure is 4.5 x 10^-9 torr, making it suitable for applications requiring stringent vacuum conditions. The APIEZON ® W wax can be removed using hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbons, providing flexibility in handling and cleanup. It is available in block form and can be applied across a wide temperature range, from -10 °C to 75 °C.
