Structured to assist in consistent experimental procedures, the Spe Polypropylene Column Chromabond ® Hr-Xa is designed as open tubular syringe-shaped columns with Luer tip outlets, available in packs of six units containing five individual columns each. These columns feature fully porous particles (FPP), a hydrophobic spherical polystyrene-divinylbenzene copolymer (PS/DVB) with quaternary ammonium modification, making them a very strong mixed mode anion exchanger (MAX). This specific phase is ideal for the enrichment of acidic analytes (pKa 2-8), particularly suitable for the separation of acidic active ingredients from strongly matrix-contaminated samples such as urine, plasma, serum, phenolic acids, and acidic herbicides.
