Widely applied in chemical workflows, Spe Cartridges Chromafix ® Sb (Sax), available in a large version with a column volume of 1.8 ml, are tubular syringe-shaped cartridges featuring a strong basic anion exchanger (SAX) surface chemistry. These cartridges, made of polypropylene (PP) columns with PE filter elements, are particularly suitable for the solid phase extraction of small sample volumes. They come in packs of 10 x 5 units and have a specific surface area according to BET of 500 m²/g. The recommended applications include caffeine, organic acids, and saccharin, with an exchanger capacity of ~ 0.3 meq/g. These cartridges are compatible with a minimum filling quantity of 500 mg and can withstand pressures up to 10 bar
