Widely applied in chemical workflows, Spe Polypropylene Columns Roti ® X Bond Prs are open tubular syringe-shaped columns filled with silica gel modified with propylsulfonic acid, serving as a very strong cation exchanger (SCX). These columns offer high recovery rates for pyridinic compounds due to their simple retention mechanism, which eliminates nonpolar interactions. Unlike other SCX phases, PRS does not exhibit π-π interactions, providing a unique selectivity that makes it an ideal alternative when non-polar components in samples cannot be removed using traditional SCX methods.
