With a specific surface area of 500 m²/g and a particle size of 45 µm, these open tubular syringe-shaped columns feature a pore size of 60 Å and a carbon content of 8%. Notably, this silica gel-based column is not endcapped like C18, resulting in stronger secondary interactions with polar compounds due to its shorter alkyl chains. This makes it particularly useful for PCBs, pesticides, and other substances similar to C18 but slightly more polar. It's recommended to store these columns at room temperature and they are compatible with a wide pH range of 2.0-8.0.
