Prepared for use in regulated laboratory conditions, the Roti® Antibiotic Discs Gentamicin (Gen) come packaged as 5 x 50 individual discs, each containing 10 µg of gentamicin. These discs are intended for the qualitative analysis of bacterial or fungal sensitivity to antimicrobial agents through in vitro diffusion methods. Store them at -20°C prior to use. When ready, apply these discs to a Mueller-Hinton agar plate, following specific protocols for bacterial or fungal cultures. Measure the inhibition zone diameter after incubation to determine the culture's sensitivity to the antibiotic, using standardized values from available standards and databases. These discs have been tested according to CLSI and EUCAST guidelines. They are not considered medical devices nor IVD products.
