Structured to assist in consistent experimental procedures, the ROTI Antibiotic Discs Polymyxin B (Pb) is specifically formulated for bacterial sensitivity testing via in vitro diffusion methods. These discs contain Polymyxin B with an activity of 300 units each, as indicated by the "PB 300" marking on both sides. With a diameter of 6mm, they can be easily applied to culture media plates containing Mueller-Hinton agar (for bacteria) or Mueller-Hinton agar supplemented with 2% glucose and 0.5µm methylene blue (for fungi). Upon incubation, the inhibition zones formed around these discs provide valuable insights into the culture's susceptibility to this antibiotic. Store them at -20°C for optimal preservation.
