It is engineered to seal gas, liquid, and highly vacuum-tight ground glass joints with a leak rate less than 1 x 10^-6 Pa l s^-1. This seal prevents the ground glass joints from sticking, eliminating the need for grease. Its temperature stability extends up to +250 °C. The seal comes protected on a cartridge to safeguard the seals during delivery.
